In Paris, where posters continue to play an important role as a media tool, Bouvet creates numerous theater posters for cultural facilities. His creative style – simple, bold and full of impact – has long been admired by Parisians who cherish culture.

The exhibition at ggg will feature Bouvet’s illustrations in the ground floor gallery and some forty of his representative posters employing photographs – all so very French! – in the basement gallery. The exhibits will include Bouvet’s rough sketches made during his production process as well as depictions of how his posters look actually displayed around Paris, giving gallery visitors an exciting sensation of being in the City of Lights themselves.

A volume dedicated to “ggg Books 111 – Michel Bouvet” will also be published in conjunction with the exhibition.
